Wings of War: NYC Metro WoW Campaign Kicks off Saturday 1/10/09
We will have our first round of WoW campaign flights this Saturday, January 10th, starting at 1 PM. If you are interested all you need to do is show up with the names of 4 pilots (2 Allied, 2 Germans) in mind.
I'll get you set up with the planes, cards, scenario, etc., and will even be the opponent if no other players are handy at that time. The approach will be to play a selection of the standard scenarios from the rules twice, once as Germans once as Allies. We will use all the rules for special damage, altitude, etc. Additional optional rules can be included at mutual agreement of the players.
Note: Balloon busting scenarios are very point-rich, so only one per player!
Don't worry if you don't know or don't remember the rules... it is a very quick game to pick up. Here are links if you want to peview in advance:

You will score campaign points based on the scenario rules, and can build your pilots up into Aces by getting 5 or more kills. I'll keep track of overall score. The campaign will end in mid February.
Your pilots may survive crashes, and could even win decorations or promotions! Never mind the exact mechanics (that's up to me as referee... I just promise not to promote or decorate my own pilots if they win). Just fly bravely and win glorious victories and all honors and recognition that you are due will be awarded.
It would be helpful if you let me know in advance if you plan to come play, but if you can't then just show up.
