John Hamilton is a painter located in Scotland who specializes in 6mm painting. Back in the summer of 2005, I contacted him about painting a Baccus 6mm AWI army for me. We were able to come to an agreement and I was impressed with his work. Not only did John save me some money by buying the figures for me in the UK, we were in constant communication about painting details and preferences. Half way through the commission I asked if he would base the figures for me, and he agreed. I think that he did an amazing job. Check out some of the photos below to judge for yourself. He can be reached for commissions at JRH2COL@aol.com. I won't go into prices here, but the only way I could have found a better bargain would have been to ship to Sri Lanka. Also, none of this would be possible without Baccus who made these figures and Litko who made the 20mm X 40mm bases. Quality products all around.
Here are some native American indian allies. Based in skirmish formations, they were the biggest surprise when I got my figures in the mail. Keep in mind these are all 6mm and my pictures really do not do justice to the work.
When I first talked to John, it seemed that he had a lot of experience with the horse and musket period, but mostly with European troops. This comes through with his Hessians, which I think are the best troops that he painted.
