| Alexandre Conefrey is a painter located in Portugal and a member of TMP. I purchased some of his works on Ebay, then asked him to paint a 28mm ECW Parliamentary army for me. The following is a review of the army that he painted for me in 5 weeks! (Yes, five weeks.) Alex does not just provide a painting service. He is a true member of the hobby, so he had a vast amount of knowledge about the ECW period. I was able to give him my preferences, with a minimum of instructions, and trust that he would get it right. (The figures are mostly Renegade, with Foundry for some of the officers and the dragoons. There are even a few Old Glory on the army command stand and with the artillery.) I think that his work speaks for itself. You can see that the shading is amazing and Alex varied the colors for the hats/pants/etc. in such a way as to really capture the feel of an ECW unit where coats may be the only thing that is "uniform". My pictures do not do justice to the small details on the faces and the uniforms. (He made sure that the pants even have patches and no two figures are alike. | These two pictures show the entire job (it takes up two shelves). You try to do this in 5 weeks. Each infantry regiment has 60 figures and there are three of them. |
Oliver Cromwell
Here is the command stand, which turned out to be a great little diorama.
Of course, you have to have infantry. Alex painted three regiments (blue, buff and red).
Some mounted and dismounted dragoons.
Cavalry.
Some artillery.
And these Scots were the ones that I purchased from Ebay.
